Improvisation as a choice

It never works out the way you planned it!

“Imagine you, being able to improvise and act assertively at any moment!"

Uncertain times, unforeseen circumstances, scenarios that don’t fit anymore, colleagues and customers who don’t respond as you might expect.

These are the moments that you need your improvisation talent. When you can improvise, you will enlarge your comfort zone, you respond to your environment faster and more flexible, you will improve teamwork and your communication skills. Your work will be more fun and you will boost your self-confidence. And yes, you can learn to improvise!

In this workshop (three half days) we play games based on these five principles

• Say ‘yes and’ instead of ‘yes but’, accept the offer and complement.
• Don’t plan, learn to see what happens, here and now and respond.
• Seek for the danger, dare to make mistakes, dare to fail.
• Let the other one shine, make the experience joyful.
• Use the power of humor, look from a different angle.

Approach

The trainer improvises during the training, thus taking care that every topic contributes to the needs of the learners. That is how you train improv skills, agile acting, postponing judgment and building further on ideas of others.

As a team you can use this workshop to answer questions like: how can we make our professionals more pro-active and daring to experiment? There is ample time to reflect on what happens with your mindset when improvising. What do you learn about your personal leadership and managing your tasks?

As a result you will immediately be able to practice your new insights.

How we work

We believe you can do it, even if you have never done it before. We stimulate you to experiment and try different scenarios. We take trust and safety very serious at Senaro, we always make a contract about that.

Every question gives a unique approach. Together we decide what is really necessary. No training or coaching program is the same, because the stories of learners are different and the organisational needs are different.

Our programs are practical and based on learning by doing, with own cases and practical examples so learners may recognise them. We always create movement that lasts because we put a lot of effort in realising intentions.

All of our programs are available in group setting and individual setting. In Dutch or English, face-to-face or online.
